The Ten (2007)
I really wanted to like The Ten. I found myself laughing hysterically at one or two vignettes, some just unfunny, and the rest pretty clever. Sounds pretty uneven, doesn’t it?
It’s still a good movie, though. It boasts a stellar cast, all of whom I love, but it should have worked more on the stories, I think. Paul Rudd narrates/introduces ten stories, each relating to one of the Ten Commandments. It’s not as blasphemous as I heard it was (except for maybe one about Jesus in Mexico City), but it’s certainly crude and inappropriate. While this is an uneven movie, it’s definitely worth watching simpy for the story of the puppet and Winona Ryder in “Thou Shalt Not Steal” (that’s all I’m going to say there).
