Hello. My name is Elizabeth. And I love movies.

And I started this blog because, simply, I watch a lot of them and this is a way for me to keep track of what I watch and what I thought of them.

I consider myself part of the minority of people who love every kind of movie. I’m not a film snob (although I can be at times) and am partial to black and white movies, but I love big Hollywood action movies and my cheesy/campy ones too.  I really will watch anything at least once.

And someday I hopefully plan to have seen every film in the Criterion Collection series. It’s pretty big feat, I must say..

Some of my favorite genres are dark comedy, horror (especially anything with zombies), musicals, some science fiction when it’s done right, mockumentaries and spoofs, and just about everything in between.

And in case you’re interested, here are some of my favorite movies:

Rushmore, Harold and Maude, Amelie, Edward Scissorhands, Hedwig And The Angry Inch, Some Like It Hot, Singin’ In The Rain, Evil Dead, Dawn Of The Dead, The Apartment, Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, Rebel Without A Cause, Fried Green Tomatoes, Donnie Darko, The Royal Tenenbaums, Lost In Translation,  the original Star Wars trilogy, Brazil, Punch-Drunk Love, and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. The list could go on, obviously.

And while I’m at it, favorite directors: Wes Anderson, Tim Burton, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Sam Raimi, Joel and Ethan Coen, Spike Jonze, John Waters, David Cronenberg, Billy Wilder, P.T. Anderson, and Michel Gondry.
